DIOVOL FORTE SUSPENSION

COMPOSITION
Each 5 ml DIOVOL FORTE SUSPENSION contains:
Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel I.P 300 mg
Magnesium Hydroxide B.P 250 mg
Activated Dimethicone I.P 40 mg

Role of Activated Dimethicone in Diovol Forte
When a large quantity of air is trapped in the stomach, it can give rise to symptoms like chest pain, palpitations; besides a sensation of distention or bloating.
Activated Dimethicone brings about coalescence of the small air bubbles taken in along with food, which are not belched out after meals. The small air bubbles form large ones which break off easily - as the surface tension is reduced.

Diovol Forte the ideal antacid
Diovol Forte is an ideal antacid for reasons below:
- Composition : High strength of A1(OH)3 and Mg(OH)2 results in a higher acid neutralising capacity, thus making Diovol Forte "The Measure of Antacid Excellence".

Indications for Diovol Forte
Diovol Forte is indicated in:
- Symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal conditions like Gastritis, Duodenitis and other Hyperacidity states.
- Hiatus hernia, pyloric stenosis etc needing surgical intervention where patients are to be symptom-free before the surgical procedure.
- Relief from dyspepsia and entrapped gas.
- Gastritis induced by X-ray or cobalt therapy or cytotoxic drugs.
- Supportive therapy in conditions like peptic ulcer where neutralization of excess acid for prompt relief is desired.
- Long-term maintenance therapy after ulcers are healed or surgery has taken place.

Recommended dosage for Diovol Forte Suspension
The recommended dosage of Diovol Forte is 1-2 teaspoonful 3 - 6 times a day or as directed by the physician. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 12 teaspoonful or as directed by the physician.
